can i transfer a character to another account? - Guild Wars Forums

hello there,

basically my brother made 2 characters on my account and has achieved a fair bit with them and i am not particularly interested in them (just taking up my slots)

he has the game on order awaiting deilvery is there anyway i can get them onto his account when he gets it?

if so how?

They should allow you to merge a smaller account into a bigger one. Into a main account.

However they would handle account wide titles, storage panes and the like would be up to them but wouldn't be a bad idea.

Chrisworld, I hope you understand this would further attract hackers, gold farmers, and fame farmers. You could also sell accounts for Real Currency and it would be just terrible. Even adding to the online-store would make this abused so bad. Besides, as IcyFiftyFive stated, it's against the EULA.

How the hell would it attract hackers? And What about people who legally purchased more then one account? Think outside the box.

Hackers could easily get into the transition phase and needing proof of either account, somehow they could merge or move the 2 and make it so you have no idea who did it or how, and/or make it so your account is stolen.

And even so, why purchase another account? Its just not going to happen. You want more characters, buy character slots. As for farming XTH, it's not how it was intended.

Think outside the box ^_^

I don't see how this would "attract hackers, gold farmers, and fame farmers." And accounts are already illegally sold for cash. How would such a feature increase any such activity? Or abuse for that matter? Afraid a "hacker" and I use that term very loosely, would try to steal your characters rather then just deleting them when they make their way onto your account? And since I don't think such a feature would ever be free, its an expensive way to simply grief someone.

@Op No, there is no way to transfer characters from one account to another. However, if you haven't done much with your own characters, you may as well just give him your account and take his new one.

I wish that this feature was available. I was in the same position as you. My bro bought the trilogy after making a war on my account. So it was kind of time wasted seeing as how I had to delete it.

Unfortunately, this wasn't always an option. Some of us have had more than 1 account for a very long time, and it would be nice to be able to swap a couple characters between accounts...

Exactly. I bought a second account many moons ago (back when anet swore they'd never sell character slots

) Since then, I've had to buy double expansions every time they put out a new one. Maybe that's why anet doesn't do it -- they want the extra cash.

yes yes yes!!! I would LOVE to transfer one of my toons to one of my other 4 accounts. Oh man would I pay for that. My death lvling toon is on the same account as my war and my monk that are my main toons. so now with 2 computers I can not death lvl on one without the horror of the other.

I will give 50 bucks to move my war in pre to one of my different accounts
